Business Controller

As Business Controller, you will act as a true business partner and report directly to our Group CFO. You bridge business and finance activities, providing sharp analysis, clear reporting, and proactive advice that directly supports strategic decisions. You are not afraid to challenge assumptions, propose improvements, and take ownership of initiatives that create tangible value.

 

A cornerstone of this position will be your key contribution andleadership to our digital transformation journey, starting with process optimization and ERP implementation at our Zoetermeer site, with potential rollouts to other locations. For this reason, proven knowledge of leading ERP systems and digital landscapes is essential.

You will work in close cooperation with multiple departments and serve as a sparring partner for the Business Unit Directors of Components and Systems NL, ensuring financial insights translate into actionable business improvements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Management reporting: Analyze variances in P&L, working capital, and CAPEX; propose corrective actions; implement non-financial KPIs, in close cooperation with the finance department.
  • Budgeting & forecasting: Develop budgets, forecasts, and mid-term plans, in close cooperation with the finance department, ensuring transparency and alignment with group strategy.
  • Process optimization: Act as Business Process Owner, ensuring efficiency and correctness across key processes (Q2C, P2P, R2R).
  • Change & project management: Take a crucial role in theERP implementation and other digital transformation initiatives, managing stakeholders, timelines, and results.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a comparable role.
  • Proven expertise with leading ERP systems and digital transformation.
  • Strong digital affinity, with experience in project management and change management.
  • Analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Assertive, flexible, and collaborative, with the confidence to challenge and inspire stakeholders.
  • Ambitious, result-driven, and willing to take that extra step when it matters most.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch.
  • Based mainly in Zoetermeer, with some travel to Apeldoorn and Belgium.
